SCAR Swim Challenge, A Kent Nicholas Dream Realized

The 2019 S.C.A.R. Swim Challenge, one of the world’s most unique and unlikely marathon swim series, will start on April 24th in the desert of the state of Arizona.

45 swimmers will take to the 4-day, 4-stage 66.9 km lake stage swim that was first envisioned by Kent Nicholas who was training for his own Manhattan Island Marathon Swim in 2012 [shown on left with Roger Finch].

The first 15.2 km leg will be held on April 24th in Saguaro Lake. Day 2 is the 14.4 km stage in Canyon Lake followed by the 27.3 km stage in Apache Lake on Day 3 and the 10 km stage in Roosevelt Lake on Day 4.
