After the Samsung Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swim (Samsung Boğazıçi Kitalararasi Yarislari) was selected as the 2016 World Open Water Offering of the Year, coordinator Pelin Çelik said of the honor, “After what is going on in Istanbul and Turkey, this is the best news nowadays motivating people like us who like to swim and does not care where other people come from or what religion they are. We are open water lovers and love to see people swimming from one continent to the other all together with fun and peace.”
