Pilar Geijo Defends Her Pro Marathon Title In Magog

Pilar Geijo (wife of Diego Tricarico) of Argentina did not feel well last night, but she battled insomnia and illness to defend her title at today’s Traversée Internationale du Lac Memphrémagog in Magog, Canada.

She hung with the pack for as long as she could and then continued her pace to comfortably win the women’s race. She grimaced as she was talking with the media after the tough 34K race, but there was obvious joy underneath.

It was difficult and I did not sleep last night, but I am very happy for this victory.”
