Peak And Pond People

The Peak and Pond Challenge is a unique solo achievement by a highly exclusive club of adventurers who not only successfully summit the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest, but who also swim across the most renowned stretch of water, the English Channel.
The members of the Peak and Pond are shown below:

1. Hugo Rodríguez Barroso (Mexico) – accomplished twice: 1986, English Channel in 13 hours + 1993, English Channel in 13 hours 4 minutes + summited Mount Everest in 1997 + summited Mount Everest on 6 May 1999 + summited Mount Everest in 2000
2. Eric Blakeley MBE (Jersey) – 2003, English Channel in 20 hours 30 minutes + summited Mount Everest in 1997 – note: also completed the Seven Summits
3. Georgios-Ioannis Tsianos (Greece) – 2009, English Channel in 9 hours 20 minutes + summited Mount Everest in 2004 – note: also completed the Ice, Water, Fire Challenge
4. Matthew J. Williams (UK) – 2010, English Channel in 15 hours 25 minutes + summited Mount Everest on May 23rd 2008 as part of the A.P. Everest Expedition
5. Bill Borger Jr. (Canada) – 2000, English Channel in 12 hours 11 minutes + summited Mount Everest on May 12th 2011
5. Boguslaw Ogrodnik (Poland) – 2014, English Channel in 20 hours 33 minutes + summited Mount Everest on May 18th 2006
6. Gabriel Viti (USA) – 2014, English Channel in 15 hours 50 minutes + summited Mount Everest on May 22nd 2010 – note: also completed the Seven Summits
7. Allan McLeland (USA) – 2008, English Channel in 16 hours 10 minutes + summited Mount Everest in 2017
8. Jason Snell (UK) – 2017, English Channel in 16 hours 30 minutes + summited Mount Everest in 2015
