Pádraig Mallon Delivers A Message Out Of The Ordinary

The uniqueness and inspirational value of the Step Out of the Ordinary Blue Envelope Challenge was recognized locally and internationally.

Locally, the Newry & Mourne District Council Sports Awards gave the campaign a Special Achievement Award and the global open water swimming community selected the campaign as the 2014 World Open Water Swimming Offering of the Year.

On behalf of all of the Step Out of the Ordinary achievers, their teams, coaches and crew, Pádraig Mallon and the Camlough Lake Water Festival will be honored at the WOWSA Awards this coming Friday in Windermere before the Big Chill Swim Winter Gala.

Lewis Pugh will present the awards to Mallon and his colleagues who established an outstanding motivational tool to get people active and achieving feats they may have never thought possible.
