Open Water Swimmers Start Early In The Day

At the 2011 FINA World Swimming Championships in Shanghai, China, the open water swimmers will not only be competing for spots at the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim at the 2012 London Olympics, but they will be doing so early in the morning.

As the sun rises in the horizon, the beauty of open water swimming and the allure of open bodies of water are always greatly appreciated by those who leave the shorelines around the world.

The schedule is as follow:

Tuesday, July 19th – 9:00: 10 km Women (Olympic 10K Marathon Swim qualifier)
Wednesday, July 20th – 9:00: 10 km Men (Olympic 10K Marathon Swim qualifier)
Thursday, July 21th – 9:00: 5K Team Time Trial
Friday, July 22th – 8:00: 5K Women; 10:00, 5K Men
Saturday, July 23the – 8:00, 25 km Men; 8:15, 25 km Women
