While English Channel swimmers know to leave their signatures at the White Horse Inn, people who visit Dr. Lucky Meisenheimer‘s home on the shores of Lake Cane also know the tradition is alive and well in Florida.
Over 1,400 swimmers visited his house in May this year. “There are many repeat swimmers, but we average around 1,000 visits per month during the warmer months,” says the doctor.
Imagine hosting over 10,000 people over your home for a swim in your backyard every year? Year in and year out, without fail and with a smile. That is the epitome of an open water swimming aficionado.
