A number of open water swimmers have spoken at TED conferences around the world: Lewis Pugh, Maarten van der Weijden, Diana Nyad, Dr. Peter Attia, Vicki Keith, Ori Sela, Tim Ferriss, and others.

TED Talks are a global set of conferences run by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation under the slogan “Ideas Worth Spreading”.

One of the inspirational speakers, Ori Sela, will visit northern California from his native Israel in late March to give a series of lectures. His first lecture will be in San Francisco on March 28th and in Palo Alto on March 31st.

Sela is the founder and owner of WEST (Water World Swimming Therapy), a swimming technique that teaches and heals millions of people who suffer from lower back pain all around the world. Water World is one of the largest hydrotherapy clubs in the world, with over 140 coaches and therapists working in the water, believing in the water and the strength it can give.

WEST provides relief daily with thousands of people of all ages, toddlers, children, adults, and elderly, some of which are recovering from strokes or accidents and suffer from lower back or neck pain, or others who are fighting a fear of water, and Ori teaches them the right way to swim.”
