Ogeday Girişken is a celebrity in Turkey after winning the TV series Survivor over a 5-month ordeal.

His next challenge will be tomorrow’s 6.5 km Samsung Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swim across the Istanbul Strait.

Over 4,500 people applied for one of the 2,200 available spots in the race. Every one of the swimmers will be a survivor after swimming from Kanlica on the Asian side to Kuruçesme on the European side of the Bosphorus.
