Swimmer Scout, Shannon House Keegan of Talent, Oregon has a lot on her plate this summer.

Keegan will compete on the 9 days of NEK Swim Week in August and, as if that challenge is not enough, will then attempt to cross the 25-mile length of Lake Memphremagog in the In Search of Memphre competition in September.

Hundreds of open water swimmers and their kayakers have registered and getting set to descend on the lakes of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont during the summer of 2019.  Online Registration will remain open until July 1st, but already many days are close to full.
Phil White says, “This summer, the U.S. Masters Swimming, Sprint and Long Distance Open Water National Championships will be held at Lake Willoughby on August 16th and August 17th. For more information and to register online, visit NEKOWSA.
These amateur swims started with Kingdom Swim in 2009. The Willoughby Swim was added in 2010, followed by In Search of Memphre in 2011, Caspian Swim in 2012, and the full NEK Swim Week in 2013. The first years saw a handful of swimmers each day of NEK Swim Week. They have grown steadily ever since.”
