After his ice swim for an hour in 3ºC (37ºF) water at the Sidi Saad Dam in Jedliane (Kasserine) last month, Nejib Belhedi stepped up yet again in his native land of Tunisia.
“Yesterday, I swam 6 km from the bank of the Mallegue Dam to Dream Island and back near the Algerian border. It took 2 hours in the 5ºC (41ºF) water. The swim was televised by Nessma TV, Hannibal TV, and Al Watanya TV.
This challenge was for the children as part of the Kef Asslama project to realize their dreams. Tomorrow, I will begin the Kef Asslama course to help the younger generations who are without jobs.”
