Courtesy of WOWSA, Huntington Beach, California.

Nancy Marie Haynsworth is an American open water swimmer from South Carolina who spent 10 years working as a Navy Fitness professional, both in the U.S. and overseas.

In the Kingdom of Bahrain, she served as Fit Boss and as a Fitness Director at Naval Support Activity preparing health, fitness and nutritional programming for five military services and family members.

Currently she teaches health, fitness and aquatics courses at The Citadel in South Carolina. Her area of interest is in reducing drowning rates among adult African Americans through the use of swimming-education programs.

She is also the latest member of the Strait of Gibraltar Half Century Club, a club that includes individuals who have successfully completed the Strait of Gibraltar between Spain and Morocco and who are at least 50 years ago.
