More To Come For This Angel

Angel More is a 15-year-old American open water swimmer from San Francisco, California. She is a member of the Santa Barbara Channel Swimming Association and trains in Aquatic Park in San Francisco Bay under coach Evan Morrison.

She was not only featured on CNN [see here] for her swimming exploits and raising funds for Childrens International, but she will be one of the featured speakers at the 2018 WOWSA Talks at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, California on November 10th 2018.

Children International is an organization that helps underprivileged children around the world escape poverty by providing the resources to learn and grow.

Her talk is entitled The Next Generation of Open Water Swimmers is geared towards younger swimmers, but is equally inspiring for those much older especially given her precocious track record on 3 continents.

She has completed the following accomplishments in her young career:

* California Triple Crown of Marathon Swimming: 32.3 km Catalina Channel in 14 hours 22 minutes + 342. Lake Tahoe in 15 hours 39 minutes + 19.6 km Santa Barbara Channel in 7 hours 37 minutes at the age of 15, the youngest to accomplish this feat
* She has done several 10 km marathon swim in Lake Del Valle and San Francisco Bay, starting at the age of 12
* She has done a 20 km swim in Santa Cruz in 8 hours 19 minutes
* She has completed 51 Alcatraz Island crossings to date, starting at the age of 11
* She has finished six 10 km Bridge to Bridge Swims in San Francisco Bay in her career
* She completed a 20 km Capitola Santa Cruz Pier-to-Pier in Santa Cruz in 8 hours 19 minutes at the age of 13
* She has completed 51 Alcatraz Island to Aquatic Park crossings beginning at the age of 11
* She became the youngest person to swim 34.2 km across Lake Tahoe in 15 hours 39 minutes at the age of 15, the youngest person to do so
* She has raised over US$40,000 to support Children International, a charity support underprivileged children around the world
* She completed a 16.1 km Round-Trip Angel Island from Aquatic Park in San Francisco Bay in 10 hours 59 minutes 15 seconds, the youngest to do so
* She completed six 10 km Bridge to Bridge swims in San Francisco Bay, California during her career
* She competed in the 1.5 km Vansbrosimningen in Sweden
* She competed in the aQuellé Midmar Mile in South Africa
* She competed in the 14 km Thames Bridge to Bridge Marathon in England where she was the youngest participant in 2016
* She was the youngest person to complete the 20 km Wharf to Wharf to Wharf swim in 2016
* She was the youngest female to summit Kilimanjaro
* She has completed several 100-mile bicycle rides and many triathlons
