Swim Miami Beach came to North Beach in Miami, Florida for a day of fitness, family and fun – and lots of rough water conditions.

A special thank you goes to the Miami Beach Ocean Rescue team for keeping everyone safe,” said race director Jonathan Strauss.

Estonian swimmer Merle Liivand, the Chief Executive Officer of Swimera in the Baltics and Scandinavia, took time out of her schedule and swam a bit out of her comfort zone, to tackle the waves.

I swam in the rough water conditions,” said the overall female winner in 29 minutes. “I actually lost chip [it was so rough].”
