Carolynn Box, Science Programs Director of The 5 Gyres Institute, described her initial meeting with Matt Moseley in the Caribbean Sea. “I met him while he was swimming the 50 miles between the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico in shark-infested waters—cage free.
Who does that?
Matt, also completed the first-ever solo crossing of Louisiana’s Lake Pontchartrain and first-ever swim through Canyonlands National Park on the Colorado River. Clearly, this is a man who craves adventure.
But he’s also someone who believes deeply that his calling is to use distance swimming to draw attention to solutions for problems like plastic pollution.
Join us on March 22nd at Voices 4 Oceans to hear his amazing story.”
