Ludovica Terlizzi (19, Italy, World Aquatics bio here, @ludovica.terlizzi) dominated the 18-19 women’s 10 km field at the World Aquatics Junior Open Water Swimming Championships in Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz, Argentina, winning in 1:55:35. Her victory was well ahead of silver medalist Polina Koziakina (19, Russia, World Aquatics bio here) in 1:56:55 and Napsugar Nagy (17, Hungary, World Aquatics bio here, @napsugarnagyy) in 1:57:28.40.
Day Two will showcase the 14-15 year olds in the 5 km race and the 16-17 year olds in the 7.5 km races tomorrow in Lago Sur (South Lake) in Parque del Sur.
