Lucas Rivet of the Asociación de Cruce a Nado del Río de la Plata accomplished what he helps others do.

The founder of the ACNRP, a nominee for the 2018 World Open Water Offering of the Year, swam across the Río de la Plata in 14 hours 45 minutes in wavy conditions across the difficult cross-border swim between Argentina and Uruguay.

His success follows in the wake of Lilian Harrison in 1923 in 24 hours 19 minutes, Pilar Geijo in 9 hours 33 minutes and Damián Blaum in 9 hours 6 minutes.
