Looking Back And Looking Forward

This time of the year, we always look forward to looking back at the year highlights throughout the open water swimming season. This year there were many. Frankly, there were probably more disappointments, frustrations and dreams dashed than ever before. Still, we are reminded of this year’s many successes and previous years like 2019 with the Infinity Channel Swimming crew. But we admit, this year, we look forward to looking forward with greater anticipation than ever.

In April 2020, Ned Denison had a wide-ranging discussion with Pádraig Mallon on WOWSA Live.

Steven Munatones said, “Pádraig is such a special individual, I could listen to his experiences and insights for days on end.”

Mallon is a North Channel escort pilot, an ice swimmer, the world’s first Iron Ice Man, and a marathon swimmer. He created the Step Out Of The Ordinary Blue Letter Campaign that was voted as the 2014 World Open Water Swimming Offering of the Year. He also created and runs Infinity Channel Swimming and was selected as one of the World’s 50 Most Adventurous Open Water Men.
