Shannon House knows what she is talking about after picking up marathon swimming in her 30’s and raising children in her 40’s while she swims around the world from Loch Ness to the Caribbean Sea.
She explains, “I’m still catching up after my 25-hour 66 km swim along the Waitukubuli Sea Trail on November 26th (shown above on left). The swim aimed to raise awareness of the island of Dominica as a destination for swimmers of all level as well as fund low cost solutions to keep plastics out of their pristine waters.”
The swim was the longest of her career that started with a 10 km race in Bermuda in 2010.
Along the last 13 years, the Oregon-based founder of Intrepid Water and Marathon Swim Stories, has picked up experiences that she loves sharing and helping to inspire others.
She asks, “How can I support you on your swimming journey?“
There are plenty of ways, either face-to-face or online with House:
- Virtual Swimming Transformations where House helps build the motor habits for swimmers to improve and become more efficient with ease. She says, “You’ll never think about swimming the same way again.”
- Virtual Marathon Mindset Masterclass where House helps develop the mindset to prepare for marathon swims in an introspective, interactive, and inspirational online setting.
- Yoga and Swimming at Mar de Jade in Chacala, Mexico between January 13th and 20th 2024 with organic meals, stately accommodations, impeccable views, and twice-daily yoga sessions with swimming in the lovely Mexican beach town.
