Lars Mack Becomes An Iron Ice Man

Lars Mack, a German policeman from München, had a busy year of competition and training.
He competed in a number of winter swimming and ice swimming events including the Zollhaus Open in Germany, the 3rd International Ice Swimming Association World Championship in Russia, the Jelgavas Roni Cup in Latvia, the Ice Swimming Aqua Sphere German Open & IISA® World Cup Veitsbronn, the Ironman Triathlon in Ostseeman, Germany in August 2019 (finishing in 13 hours 28 minutes), winning the 45-49 age group 2019-2020 International Winter Swimming Association World Cup, and completed an Ice Mile in Wöhrsee zu Burghausen, Germany in 4.4°C water in 25 minutes 30 seconds.
With his Ice Mile, he became an Iron Iceman. “I am so proud to become now an Iron Ice Man. I was on a tight schedule. Finished my Ironman of August 4th and then five months later in January 2020 my Ice Mile in Lake Wöhrsee.”
