Lady Merle Liivand (34, Estonia, MSF bio here, IISA bio here) has teamed up with an impressive group of organizations for an ocean legacy project:
Between June 14th and 28th in Miami Beach at 12th Street, Lady Liivand is going to promote the FIFA World Cup 2026 in her mermaid outfit with two extra-large soccer goals set on an extra-small beach pitch. The goals are treated as larger-than-life canvases with nets woven with illustrations of constellations, an ultimate analogy for the World Cup: a singular shared space that stretches across the entire tournament and all host countries.
The motto: Big Goals. Small Actions. The future of the oceans is at play.
