Kristof Rasovszky Wins FINA World Cup In Qiandao Lake

The camera work was critical at the last FINA/HOSA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup race held in China’s Chun’an Qiandao Lake on October 15th.

Both the winners of the men’s and women’s race – Kristof Rasovszky of Hungary and Ana Marcela Cunha – finished in the same time as the second-place swimmers – Allan do Carmo and Arianna Bridi – but with the use of the high-speed camera, the FINA race officials judged the Hungarian and Brazilian won their respective races.

It was a very good but hard race. I was really happy with my result,” said Rasovszky. “I tried to be at the first position in the first three laps and tried to beat Do Carmo at the end. In fact, I was always bad at the finish because of the bad position at the last 300, 400 meters. But today I was at the good position and won it. I like Qiandao Lake very much for the water and good temperature.”
