Andrea Munce was going through some old magazines and came across an Jet Magazine article from over 50 years ago.
She opened up the August 12th 1954 issue and found a photo of her father Karl Munce of Wilmington, Delaware who participated in the Atlantic City Around the Island Swim won by Tom Park with honorary starter Gertrude Ederle.
“My father was an excellent swimmer and I’m very proud to see that his accomplishments were documented in Jet Magazine.”
