Ben Barham announced the the Jaimie Monahan Award. “It is an award given by the Lake Geneva Swimming Association for its most exceptional swim of the year.”
The 36-year-old American swam the length of Lake Geneva between August 26th-27th in 32 hours 52 minutes. Monahan’s swim was not only the 53rd longest solo swim in history, but her crossing was the first time an American woman successfully swam the length of Lake Geneva in Switzerland.
