Jack Burnell Wins On The Sunshine Coast

Jack Burnell of Great Britain made his long trip to Mooloolaba, a tourist resort on the Australian Sunshine Coast of Queensland worthwhile.

In the build-up to the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim in Rio de Janeiro this August, Burnell and his British teammates are traveling the globe to gain even more experience racing against the world’s fastest swimmers in all kinds of environments and venues.

A day after finishing second in the 10 km race, Burnell won a close race in the 5 km over Japan’s Yasunari Hirai and Canada’s Richard Weinberger at the 2016 Australian Open Water Championships.
