It’s A Long Way In India

Ramanuj Mukhopadhyay, Honorable General Secretary of the Bengal Amateur Swimming Association and the Vice President of the Swimming Federation Of India, announced that the annual 19K (11.8-mile) and 81K (50-mile) marathon swims in the River Bhagirathi will be held on September 5th.

The longest annual marathon swimming competition in the world, the River Bhagirathi is a turbulent Himalayan river in India that is the source stream of the Ganges, the holy river of Hinduism.
