“We have a huge weekend for the earth coming up. The less CO2 out there, the less acidic our swims will be,” says open water swimmer and organizer Doug Woodwing.
Supporters can join our huge music and silent disco event on December 5th and 6th, called LISTEN – Paris 2015. We will have some of the top DJs in the world, streaming a set from Beatport for 24 hours. The goal is to have people celebrate, while all listening to the same beat, but also showing their readiness to move to a renewable future. By sharing photos and social media, the world leaders will hopefully “Listen” to our collective voices.
It starts at 5 pm Paris time on December 5th for 24 hours: www.listenparis2015.com or Facebook. The main hashtags we will be using to share our collective messages are #ListenParis2015, #EarthToParis, #COP21 and #Go100Renewable, and we also want people to Tweet Their Leaders along the way during the 12 days of climate talks.
With your help and participation, we will be able to get the world leaders with the power to make effective change, to LISTEN to our communities and our collective support for the transition into a world of renewable energy.”
