Horsetooth Open Water Swims In Colorado

Spread the love

Joe Bakel, Race Director for the Horsetooth Open Water Swims, announced there will be a 250-yard, 1000-yard, 1-mile, 2.4-mile and 10K races during the August 15th event in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Annointed as the CNN and Money Magazine’s second best small city in all of America, we hear its open water swim matches its CNN ranking.

Early entries (first 25 10K swimmers) receive paddlers with watercraft on a first-come, first-serve basis for registered masters swimmers who request it, but all the 10K swimmers will be treated to a dinner at the mandatory pre-race safety meeting.

Joe also provides a convenient and educational race history that provides plenty of useful information for swimmers here.
