During discussions with British Swimming, we learned that up to 250,000 spectators are expected to line the banks of the Serpentine in Hyde Park to watch the women’s Olympic 10K Marathon Swim at the 2012 London Olympics – and another 250,000 spectators expected to watch the men race their 10K the day after.
Half a million people watching the sports stars.
That is one highly popular sport that comes to no surprise to us.
