Haley Anderson Honored By USA Swimming

Haley Anderson, originally from Granite Bay, California where she first started to enjoy open water swimming, was named the 2018 Female Open Water Swimmer of the Year by USA Swimming.
After pulling away from the best swimmers from Brazil, USA, Japan, Australia, Canada and New Zealand at the end of the 10 km race at the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Tateyama Hojo Beach, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, she continued to her victorious hot streak [see post-race interview below].
She also won the LEN Open Water Cup in Gravelines, France in May, the 5 km mixed team relay at the French National Open Water Swimming Championships, and the FINA/HOSA Marathon Swim World Series 10 km race in Setúbal Bay, Portugal.
Additionally, the 2012 Olympic 10K marathon swimming silver medalist was appointed on the Athletes Advisory Commission for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
