Ferry Weertman, A Race Favorite In Every Situation

As we look forward over the next two years of professional marathon swimming that will culminate in the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, we like the odds of Ferry Weertman repeating his 10 km gold medal performance in Rio de Janeiro.

His biggest advantages are that he will continue to improve, but most importantly, he can adapt to any situation, any conditions, any tactics or any pace during world-class competitions and still comes out on top or at least be competes at the front of the pack at the end of every race.

When so many things can happen during an Olympic final, this bodes very well for the Dutch gold medalist.
