Harris Rosen is an avid masters swimmer and CEO of Rosen Hotels & Resorts which operates the largest independently owned hotel group in Florida.

The group, centered in Orlando, Florida, is site to many theme parks including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. In 2018, Orlando attracted 75+ million visitors and is one of the world’s most visited cities due to tourism, events, and conventions. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown have significantly impacted its economy – so corporate leaders like Rosen are being innovative and trying to limit the second wave of infections.

In addition to swimming daily and leading an incredibly healthful lifestyle, Rosen has been recognized as a Healthcare Hero for his numerous innovations and corporate policies. As a post-lockdown countermeasure, Harris has installed a security gate with an automatic temperature sensor at the entrance of the Rosen Centre. Body temperatures of guests entering the Centre are quickly measured and confirmed, enabling the guests to enter – or not, if they have higher-than-acceptable temperatures. Once inside the Centre, the guests are then free to enter the hotel pools.
