After most open water swims, athletes look back on the experience and are greatly appreciative of the opportunity to participate and push themselves to their personal limits.
They thank everyone around them who helped them reach their goals.
Occasionally, fingerpointing begins after a swim and some athletes start to think, “What if?” or “I could of, would of, should of [done something differently].” They look at pilots, coaches, kayakers or anyone for excuses or reasons why they did not reach their goals.
It is always so refreshing to see an athlete so appreciative of the conditions and people around him:
