Elaine Howley To Star In END-WET
Courtesy of WOWSA, Huntington Beach, California.
Elaine Howley is following in the wake of Darren Miller (2012), Jen Schumacher (2013), Annaleise Carr (2014), Sarah Thomas (2015), and Jeff Utsch (2016).
Each of the swimmers have served as the honored guest swimmer for END-WET, a 36-mile (57.9 km) river swim in the Mighty Red River of the North from North Dakota to Minnesota.
Her list of marathon swimming accomplishments is as varied as they are long. Her passion and commitment to the sport is evident from her daily activities that range about researching historical events in the sport and writing educational articles to completing unprecedented swims and ice swims.
Howley will give a motivational speech to swimmers, volunteers and spectators before the race in North Dakota.
