André Wiersig launched his Oceans Seven challenge in 2014 and completed his 7 crossings in 2019 – and has since continued his journey in the world’s oceans.
In Nachts Allein Im Ozean, Mein Weg durch die Ocean’s Seven, Wiersig tells how he prepared for the seven channels and how he got to know and love the open ocean to the rhythm of the hour-long arm strokes, sometimes at night. He encountered sharks, dolphins, whales, and plastic garbage. He later became an ambassador for the oceans and the German Marine Foundation.
