Diana Nyad was the featured speaker tonight at the Boston Speaker Series at the Boston Symphony Hall in Boston, Massachusetts.

Hundreds of people from all walks of life heard her relive her preparations and tribulations of swimming from Cuba to Florida.

When asked her motivation, she replied, “Because I’d like to prove to the other 60-year-olds that it is never too late to start your dreams.”
