Diana Nyad Gets Stung And Stung Again

Diana Nyad is 20 hours into her swim. Despite four major jellyfish stings, she still manages to stay strong keep in tune to her rhythm with her mental playlist of 65 songs, 5 hours and 15 minutes.

Sting 1: A Flower Hat Jellyfish stung Diana at 8:40 pm. She was treated and continued swimming.” states Alex.

Sting 2: Her 2nd sting occured 6 hours 2 minutes into the swim, after swimming 9.89 miles.

Sting 3: Ops Chief Mark Sollinger reports “10:57 pm, Diana was stung on the hand by a confirmed box jellyfish.”

Sting 4: “She was hit at 12:33 am on her forehead by box jellyfish.” reports observer Steven Munatones.
