The last event of the OWWT, the Crown Beach Swim Race took place on August 11, 2018 at Robert W. Crown Memorial Beach in Alameda, CA.

Twenty eight swimmers each competed in one of three distances, 0.5 miles, 1.2 miles, and 2.4 miles.

Conditions were fairly good, with sunny skies, 66°F (18.9°C) water, and moderate waves.

Swimmers started and finished on the sand beach, ending the race with a dramatic run up onto the sand. The race was followed by an awards ceremony with medals for each participant.

The winners of the 2.4 miles swim were Jennifer Ross and Trevor Owens. Both took 1000pts for the final ranking of the OWWT.

The following event will be the last of the Italian Open Water Tour at Noli, the 16th of september. Hope to meet you all there.
