  21. Byron Kimber, South Africa 1:56.48
  22. Sven van der Linde, South Africa 1:59.09
  23. Colton Chaires, Canada 2:07.51
  24. Percy Escobar Coppa, Bolivia 2:08.40
  25. Sebastian Paulins, Canada DNF

But the spectators at the venue and online of the YouTube livecast saw significant differences between the announced results and what they saw, either in person or online. There were significant visible separation between winner Florian Wellbrock (28, Germany, World Aquatics bio here) and second place Paulo Strehlke Delgado (20, Mexico World Aquatics bio here), see below. But the results had their swims as much closer: 1:49.51 versus 1:49.58.

The same was true between Delgado and third place Dario Verani. The separation appeared to be much greater than the results that showed 1:49.58 versus 1:50.01.

Ditto for the distance between Verani at 1:50.01, fourth place Joshua Brown at 1:50.05, and fifth place Ivan Puskovitch at 1:50.06 – and so on.

In addition to requesting the corrected times, we are still trying to seek the official (or unofficial) women’s results from yesterday’s women’s 10 km.

Stay tuned for updates.
