Ciara Doran, Dominic Mudge Win IISA Ireland 1k National Titles

On January 25th, Referee Tiffiny Quinn, Medical Officer Martina Ring, and International Ice Swimming Association Official Martina Ring joined Event Director Ian Conroy to organize the IISA Ireland 1k National Championships in Wild Water Armagh.
20-year-old Ciara Doran, an Irish wunderkind in pool swimming, marathon swimming and ice competitions, won the near-Ice Kilometer (water temperature was slightly higher than the official water temperature limit at 5.7°C) in 15:26:71 while 44-year-old Dominic Mudge won the men’s race in 15:11:81.
