Brooke Travis set a new course record in the 2017 Swim for the Potomac.
Organized by Denis Crean, the Swim for the Potomac is a 5-race event (500 meters + 3 km + 5 km + 10 km) in Maryland’s National Harbor that is dedicated to bringing awareness to Washington D.C.’s Potomac River. Not only is the river home to a growing number of open water swimming, paddling and rowing competitions, recreation, tourism, but it also supplies the drinking water to most of the metropolitan area.
