70 men and 57 women are entered in the 2010 USA Swimming National Open Water Swimming Championships and 46 men and 41 women are entered in the 10K.
The flat-out speed of the men’s and women’s fields are amazing. In the men’s 10K field, for example, these are the top 10 seeded times (1500-meter freestyle):
