With hundreds of government officials looking on, Nejib Belhedi continued with his exploration and planning of the Winter Tour of Icy Swimming in Tunisia.

On January 20th, he swam solo for 1 hour 45 minutes covering 3 km in 1ºC in Barbara Lake, Tunisia.

His swim was observed and ratified by the Governor of Jandouba [see letter on left].

After walking upon the shoreline with full mental clarity and his trademark Arabic eloquence, he said, “The impossible is our challenge, on this we will build to utilize all the energies of the region.”

The 2018-2019 Winter Tour of Icy Swimming includes swims in Sidi Barrak Dam, Barbara Dam, Oued Mallegue, Sidi Salem, Sidi Saad, Jedliane Kasserine and Ksar Ghilane.
