Attila Molnar Peaked In The Mid-1990s

Attila Molnar [shown on right in both photos above] was inducted in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame as an Honour Swimmer in 1998. He is a Hungarian open water swimmer and coach of the Hungarian open water swimming team.

During his career, he was crowned the International Marathon Swimming Association world champion two years in a row.

His major podium finishes include a victory at the 36 km (22.5-mile) 1995 Around-the-Island Marathon Swim in Atlantic City, a second in the 40 km (25-mile) Traversée internationale du lac St-Jean professional marathon swim in 10 hours 20 minutes in 1995, and a third in the Traversée in 10 hours 30 seconds in 1996.
