Amanda Stevens, Chris Thompson Win $20,000 In Straits

39-year-old world champion triathlete Amanda Stevens from Arizona and 38-year-old 2000 Olympic bronze medalist Chris Thompson each won US$20,000 for their respective victories at Monday’s 4.2-mile Mighty Mac Swim across the Straits of Mackinac.

The average of the race participants was 41.5 years (43.5 years for the men and 38.8 years for the women).
