Alan Viana Does The Amazon Challenge

On April 13th, Pierre Gadelha started a new marathon swimming project called the Amazon Challenge that includes 18 km or 30 km races and opportunities for swimmers to schedule either of these two distances any day of the year.

The swimmer Alan Viana finished the 30 km distance in 7 hours 48 minutes in the largest left tributary of the Amazon, the largest blackwater river in the world.
