Andrea Woodburn is an open water swimmer from Florida who has covered marathon swimming around the Caribbean.

She has herself twice completed the 12.5-mile Swim Across Key West solo in Florida and most recently the Flowers International 10k Swim in the Cayman Islands, constantly in an upbeat mood and huge smile.

She wrote about Penny Palfrey’s marathon swims in extraordinarily dramatic detail for the Associated Press and ESPN.

Her body of work in these mainstream publications is always a great pleasure to read because Woodburn clearly does and understands the sport from a first-hand perspective.
