Mohamed Marouf, a former professional marathon swimmer from Egypt, takes time out during the Traversée Internationale du Lac-Mégantic week to talk about his famous countryman Abou-Heif. Abou-Heif is considered to be the greatest marathon swimmer of the 20th century. Mohamed talks about Abou-Heif’s legacy, his wealth built upon his marathon swimming exploits and his well-known victory over Ted Erikson in a 60-mile professional marathon swim in Lake Michigan.
