The 1.5 km Melbourne Swim Classic from Brighton to Elwood is in its third year.

The Melbourne Swim Classic is a participation-based, community-fundraising open water swimming carnival. Held on Elwood Beach on March 13th (Labour Day Weekend) from 4 pm, there are events for the family inclusive of a 1.5 km Swim Classic; 5 km Swim; free 200m Swim; 400m Swim; and a Kids Swim.
