The world’s fastest distance freestylers who have entered the both the 800m freestyle and the 1500m freestyle in the pool as well as the 10 km marathon swim in the Seine started their triple race scheduled today at La Défense Arena Pool in the 800m freestyle at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
While Guilherme Costa of Brazil swam to fifth in the 400m freestyle yesterday, he joined Florian Wellbrock of Germany, Daniel Wiffen of Ireland, Gregorio Paltrinieri of Italy, Henrik Christiansen of Norway, Ahmed Jaouadi of Tunisia who also competed in the 800 meters.
Before these men get to the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim to be held in the River Seine on August 9th, they need to get through the 800m and 1500m preliminary heats and finals.
